Constellation Side Plate
Plates are wheel-thrown in a smooth white stoneware and are approximately 5.5 inches in diameter.
Trimmed, dried, then bisque fired at 1945°F (cone 06). The bisqueware is then dipped in 2 glazes. First Mottled Blue Cream, a runny rutile heavy glaze, then Toshiko Black which has left us with a lovely deep blue flecked with gold specks that breaks into auroras where the plate bends after being reduction fired at 2381°F (cone 10).
All dishware, unless stated otherwise, are microwave and dishwasher safe, however hand washing is recommended and can help ensure the longevity of handmade ceramics.
